  Honestly, this was one of the worst experiences my grandma and I have had at a fine dining restaurant.
  So, when we entered, the first thing we noticed was how desolate the restaurant was. There were only about eight people in the restaurant, so most of the tables were empty. Also, no waiters or waitresses were in sight. We looked over and saw the menus and wondered if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait on a greeting. After two minutes, my grandmother and I grabbed two menus and sat.
  We knew what we wanted by the time a waitress finally greeted us at our table. I was impressed with the amount of wine, despite not having ordered any. I ordered a six ounce filet mignon, a baked potato, and grilled asparagus. My grandmother ordered bacon-wrapped scallops, a roasted tomato, and asparagus as well.
  We got our drinks in an orderly fashion and our orders were taken quickly as well. We received bread and some olive oil that was warm and perfect.
  While we were waiting, everyone in the dining area could hear the cooks almost screaming and laughing. The fashion and the conversation was extremely inappropriate for a fine dining restaurant. The décor looked marvelous though, and the pictures on the wall were exquisite.
  We received our plates quite quickly. My rare steak was cooked to perfection. It was beautifully plated, despite the odd lemon slice that didn't really go with the dish. My grandmother, however, cut into her scallops and they were cold and raw. I had to take the dish to the kitchen because the waitress was out of sight.
  Finally, her plate was brought back and thoroughly cooked. The asparagus, steak, and scallops were overly peppered. They were all extremely spicy.
  Then, our waitresses three kids and husband in his bandana came in. They got more attention than her tables. Her kids walked around and talked while she gave us our check.
  Despite the scallop-tastrophe, our check came out to be a bit much. My grandmother had signed the check and her card had gone though, and before we walked out of the door, we checked to see if we got the correct copy of the receipt. I saw that we got table one and a table two receipt. I had to bring that to our waitress as well. Her family left, so I guess her attention was fixed.
  She apologized and fixed it, making us leave with half-a-dozen receipts in the end and ten dollars poorer (that was the difference between the two receipts). The receipt we almost paid for was for a couple who walked out halfway through our meal.
  Honestly, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone of whom I liked. Not to anyone reading this either. If there are improvements made, praise be to them, but I will not be visiting again until they are made.

  Delicious and Delightful Dining
  
  We chose The Jockey Club for my mom's birthday dinner; we chose well! This is an upscale restaurant; the menu offers appetizers to desserts and wine, beer, and spirits. The entree menu features a wide range of choices - everything from seafood/fish to beef/veal, even pasta. There were five in our party, we all ordered different items and none of us were disappointed!
  
  Gennie was our server and she was a gracious hostess. Her timing was spot on and so pleasant to talk with. She even found a candle to place in my mom's dessert! Thank you, Gennie!
  
  Well prepared food and a delightful staff! That's a great meal! I'll be back!!
